Dr. Harris graduated from Louisiana State University and received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. She completed her pediatric training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where she trained at Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Harris became a physician because she wanted to make a significant difference in the lives of others, and she chose pediatrics because of a love of working not just with children and teens, but the entire families.
