About Nathan Philip Hite

About The Provider

Dr. Nathan Hite received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He obtained his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed an internship in general surgery at Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, and then returned to Louisiana to finish residency at LSU in New Orleans. He completed a clinical research fellowship in colorectal surgery at Ochsner and then traveled to Seattle, Washington, for his colorectal fellowship at the Swedish Colon and Rectal Clinic. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Hite is the author and co-author of several peer reviewed publications in the area of colorectal surgery and cancer.


Dr. Hite's specialty is the diagnosis and management of all diseases of the colon and rectum (benign and malignant). His specialty areas include colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), and diverticular disease as well as hemorrhoids, abscesses, anal fissures and fistula, and endoscopy.
