Oscar Shoenfelt, MD, is a physician at Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group Men’s Health Center. Dr. Shoenfelt, a native of Baton Rouge, received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. He became a physician to follow in his grandfather, Dr. William Palfrey’s, footsteps. Dr. Shoenfelt completed his family medicine residency through the LSU Family Medicine Residency Program at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and received his board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine in 2018. He practiced in a traditional family medicine role in Corning, Iowa at CHI Mercy Corning Hospital and most recently worked as a hospitalist at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
