About Sharon Jackson

About The Provider

Sharon Jackson says she became a Nurse Practitioner because her purpose in life is to serve and help people. She was able to accomplish that to some degree as an LPN but felt the help she could provide was limited. As a Nurse Practitioner she enjoys being able to provide more extensive care to her patients. Sharon also cares for the community, providing donations to the homeless and women and children in shelters. She is a charter member of 100 Black Women in the Greater Baton Rouge area and was one of the first nurses to receive the Nurse Excellence award at Our Lady of the Lake.

    Was very happy with my visit with NP Sharon, I was told of issues with MS like vision dienes that could lead to blindness. I had never been advised that I should see a neuro eye doctor to observe and monitor any changes in my vision. Sharon diagnosed the reason for the sharp quick pains I have been experiencing in my head and placed me on medication to help with pain. Sharon explained the importance of me having MRI's to determine if the medication is helping and if the plaque is stable or has increased. I am thankful to my ER doctor for contacting my neurologist office and setting up this appointment sooo happy to have Sharon caring for me. First time in 15 years I believe a medical professional honestly cares about me @nd cares to help me manage my MS condition. I am actually in tears writing this. Thank you NP Sharon.

    I love my NP, she is extremely knowledgeable. She answered all my questions and concerns of the new symptoms I was having. We both discussed and agreed on the best Imaging test that I needed to have at the present time and I even was able to schedule that test four days after my visit, it was that quick. I was very pleased and given love her staff members at front desk. I would recommend anyone I knew that needed a very good Neurology Physician Group to go see my clinic and as well as my NP.
