Benjamin R. Martinez, MD, received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency in general surgery at Ochsner Medical Center. He then completed a trauma surgery/critical care surgery fellowship at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is board certified in general surgery. Dr. Martinez wanted to help others and always had a strong interest in science/medicine. He also grew up in a family including other physicians and admired them for their work.
