I was there for a follow up to going to the ER for chest pain, I have 5 stents Dr never looked at anything before coming into exam room, asked why I was there and explained and he said we'll do a stress test but didn't realize we had done a nuclear stress in the last few weeks, had to look and say oh ok well we'll do a stress anyway, I was recently diagnosed with nueropathy in my leafs and having balance issues which is why we did a nuclear test in the first place, I was in jeans and steel toe boots and he wanted me to do a stress test so I did what he asked but it didn't make much sense to me but I'm not a Dr. He was very nice but professional but had no clue about me, I've been with him for a couple years but have never had any hard problems while with him other Dr. Whod did stents retired in Zachary's so I had to find another, he was recommended. The last time I had chest pain and took a nitro I ended up with 3 stents so I was concerned about this episode. He didn't see anything on stress test so said if I have chest pain again go to ER and we'd look at doing a Cath. Just think it could have been done differently wasn't to encouraging to me he didn't know why I was coming in and didn't remember we had recently done nuclear and why we did nuclear and not regular stress and me having steel toe boots and jeans in to do a stress with bad legs and neuropathy it in the end I did it and didn't fall off treadmill

Dr. Helmke was a good listener and showed good concern about my health progress. He has a comfortable approach to the patient.
