About Heather Denise Drewes

About The Provider

Heather Drewes, FNP-BC, is a Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of strong clinical experience in pediatric, intensive care, and specialty healthcare settings. Drewes is certified in wound care and has been working in the advanced wound care arena for the past 8 years. She has a diverse healthcare background, ranging from advanced wound care modalities to pediatric critical care, and general pediatric nursing. Her skills cross over to the home health arena where she was previously a supervisor of the Pediatric Home Health Department at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, and a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) instructor for 12 years, while also serving as a unit mentor and preceptor for new oncoming nurses. 

After serving as a registered nurse for over 22 years, Drewes decided to pursue her NP at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, where she graduated with her Master of Nursing, FNP, in 2019.
