James “Jim” Taylor, MD, received his bachelor of science in medical technology from LSU School of Allied Health. He completed the clinical laboratory science program at L.J. Chabert Medical Center. Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency as chief resident at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. Dr. Taylor is a member of the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners, the former president of the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians and the medical director for the Livingston Parish Detention Center. In his free time, Dr. Taylor enjoys music, reading, teaching and singing in his church choir.
