Dr. Kelsey Rooney is a distinguished physician who completed her medical training and residency at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in May 2022 and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Her academic foundation includes a bachelor of science in general business and a minor in biological sciences from Louisiana State University, graduating summa cum laude. 

Dr. Rooney is an active contributor to scholarly research, with several publications, book chapters and accepted abstracts in areas including pain management and internal medicine, published in journals such as “Orthopedic Reviews and Neurology International.” She also spearheaded quality improvement projects at USF, notably streamlining stroke protocols at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center and proposing E-consults to address prolonged wait times.
