About The Provider
Koteswara Pothineni, MD is Board Certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiac CT and nuclear cardiology. Procedures he often performs include right and left heart catheterizations, abdominal aortograms with run off and peripheral angioplasty/atherectomy, dual chamber permanent pacemaker, transesophageal echocardiograms, temporary pacemaker placements, and intra-aortic balloon pump placements.
Dr. Pothineni received his bachelor’s in medicine and bachelor’s in surgery from Andhra Medical College, then his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University/Conemaugh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania. He completed four fellowships, two at the University of Birmingham in Alabama and two at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.
In his free time, Dr. Pothineni can be found hanging out with his two kids, either fishing or at the volleyball court.
