Martin Setliff, MD, received his medical degree and residency in internal medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. He then completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Setliff is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Setliff had frequent visits to his pediatrician as a child and still remembers how good his doctor made him feel, despite whatever sickness had brought him in. He knew that he wanted to pursue medicine so that he could also help people and make them feel better when they were sick. As a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, he works with patients that are coping with difficult medical conditions that have altered the lives they knew. These patients are often in need of guidance, hope and support to navigate their life-changing experience and Dr. Setliff is grateful for his opportunity to help his patients during this time.
