Michael Dugas, PA-C, originally from the New Orleans area, attended Brother Martin High School. After high school, he attended LSU in Baton Rouge and received an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. Between undergraduate and graduate school, he was an EMT in the greater New Orleans area for two years. He then went to Paris, Tennessee, to complete his physician assistant training. Afterward, he began his PA career with the orthopedic trauma group at Ochsner Baton Rouge. Before joining Our Lady of the Lake, he worked in urgent care for three years around the greater Baton Rouge area. During his free time, Michael is an avid outdoorsman with duck hunting in the winter and fishing around his family camp in the summer. During the fall, Michael regularly attends LSU football games, where he and his friends put on a tailgate for every home game. Michael has been married for four years, and he and his wife had their first daughter in April 2024.
