After ten years of working as a bedside registered nurse, Michelle Nelson decided to broaden her horizons as a Nurse Practitioner. She chose this area of practice because she truly cares about the health of others. She finds her purpose is fulfilled by practicing medicine through compassion, kindness and treating people like a part of her family with a holistic approach. Her interest not only lies with taking care of patients at the beginning of their illness but through the recovery phase as well. After obtaining her Family Nurse Practitioner's degree, she became interested in the corporate side of medicine as well. She then obtained her Doctor of Nursing at Southern University in 2014. Michelle is fluent in English and French.
