Dr. Daugherty offers minimally invasive approaches with advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques (via the da Vinci Surgical System) for abdominal procedures, colonoscopy, as well as transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) for treatment of rectal polyps and early rectal cancers. He and his partners focus on quality exemplified by the development of their Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol, the first in the Baton Rouge Area, allowing for shorter length of stay and improved pain control, while preserving low readmission rates. His group provides top colorectal cancer care using a multidisciplinary team approach via the Colorectal Multidisciplinary Care Team (MDC) at Mary Bird Perkins - Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center.
