Shannon T. Bogan, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. A Baton Rouge native, she earned her bachelor's degree in microbiology from Louisiana State University before completing her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She went on to finish her pediatrics residency at AdventHealth for Children (formerly Florida Hospital for Children) in Orlando, Florida, where she was selected to serve as chief resident. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Bogan brings both deep training and a genuine calling to caring for children in their most critical moments. 

Throughout her career, Dr. Bogan has built extensive experience in high-acuity pediatric settings, including urgent care and newborn hospitalist care, where she regularly managed high-volume, fast-paced environments and cared for children facing acute and complex conditions. That background makes her exceptionally well-prepared for the emergency department, where quick thinking, calm hands and clear communication with families matter most. Above all, Dr. Bogan pairs evidence-based, acute care expertise with a warm, family-centered approach. She takes time to listen and to reassure, helping every child feel safe and every family feel supported even in the most urgent moments.
