Shees Ahmed, MD, is a hospital medicine physician at FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake. He earned his medical degree from LSU Health in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency with LSU Health in Baton Rouge. 

Dr. Ahmed provides care for adults during their hospital stay, working with specialists and other members of the care team to manage acute illnesses and complex medical conditions. During his residency, he also participated in hospital quality improvement initiatives focused on strengthening patient care and safety. 

Before medical school, Dr. Ahmed earned degrees in cell and molecular biology and computer science from Tulane University. His academic work included projects exploring the use of artificial intelligence in medicine, reflecting an interest in how technology and research can contribute to better healthcare.
