Tanya Brown, MSN, APRN, FNP-C has practiced nursing since 2010. Her clinical experience includes surgical, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, endocrine, and gynecological nursing among others. She is also experienced in nursing supervision, utilization review and case management. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in Family Health Nursing from Southern University, Baton Rouge. She is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Tanya became a Nurse Practitioner because she wanted to have more autonomy and involvement in the planning and care of my patients. Her clinical interests include diabetes research, HIV treatment modalities, and improvement in access to medical care.
