Terry Stelly, MD, completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and went on to receive his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and a Fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Stelly is Board Certified by the American Board of General Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is also a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS), Southern Thoracic Surgical Association (STSA), and American College of Surgeons Medical Society. Dr. Stelly has always liked helping people, and felt that by becoming a doctor would allow him to follow that desire to the fullest.
