I was just short of tears; I had finally been heard. We only covered the migraines and that my mother died from an aggressive type of brain cancer this time. This prompted Dr. Rice to take what I was sharing seriously and the MRI was scheduled. We covered ALL the meds that had failed in the past and she did NOT shame me for not knowing to go to the ER when a migraine goes beyond 24hrs. I finally felt heard, that my symptoms were taken seriously & that the medications she prescribed were going to be effective bc she wasn't riding her ego but wisdom!
